BRP strongly advises using the power interface and power supply cables so stable voltage prevents update crashes. A fully charged external battery feeds the unit and BUDS/BUDS2.
It works for extended diagnostics, keeps the unit powered with the ignition off or DESS key removed, and has a fuse-protected voltmeter.
